Open a Service and click "Assign a Resource"
Go to Settings → Services, find the service you want to add a resource to, and click Edit. Inside the service editor, you'll find Service Helper tags — click Needs room? or Needs tools? to start assigning a resource.
Choose: A Room or Station vs A Tool or Equipment
The Assign a Resource chooser screen appears. Select whether this service needs a physical space (room/station) or a piece of equipment (tool).
Add a new Room/Station or Tool/Equipment
If the resource doesn't exist yet, click + Add Room or + Add Tool. A modal appears — enter the name, quantity (how many you own), and an optional description. Click Save.
View and adjust your Rooms & Tools list
The Rooms & Stations and Tools & Equipment screens show all your existing resources. You can adjust quantities using the +/- buttons, see which services each resource is assigned to, and edit or remove them.
Assign the resource to a specific service
Click Assign on any resource to open the assignment screen. Select the services that need this resource and tick them. Click Save Assignment — YBP will now automatically check this resource's availability for every booking of those services.
YBP handles conflicts automatically
When all units of a resource are in use, YBP blocks further bookings for services that need it — showing a conflict warning. The employee is still available for other services that don't require the resource.
