Coupon: How to set It

Step-by-Step Guide to Managing Coupons on YBP (Your Booking Platform)

1. View Coupons

  • Go to the Coupons section in YBP.

  • You’ll see a table listing all available coupons with details like:

    • Name: Name of the coupon.

    • Description: Purpose or details of the coupon.

    • Coupon Code: Unique code for the coupon.

    • Usage Count: Number of times the coupon has been used.

    • Date Added: When the coupon was created.

  • Use the Search bar to find specific coupons.


2. Create a New Coupon

  • Click + CREATE in the Coupons section.

  • Fill in the details:

    • Name: Name of the coupon (e.g., “Autumn Happy Hour Discount”).

    • Description: Explain the purpose of the coupon (e.g., “October and November Discount”).

    • Coupon Code: Enter a unique code (e.g., “Autumnhappyhour”).

  • Click SAVE to create the coupon.


3. View Coupon Assignments

  • Click VIEW ASSIGNMENTS to see which customers have been assigned coupons.

  • The table will display:

    • Coupon Name: Name of the coupon.

    • Customer Name: Name of the customer who received the coupon.

    • Customer Email: Email address of the customer.

    • Assigned Date: When the coupon was assigned.


4. Assign a Coupon to a Customer

  • Go to the Coupon Assignments section in YBP.

  • Click + CREATE to assign a coupon to a customer.

  • Select the Coupon Name from the dropdown.

  • Enter the Customer Name and Customer Email.

  • Set the Assigned Date.

  • Click SAVE to complete the assignment.


5. Edit or Delete a Coupon

  • In the Coupons section, locate the coupon you want to modify.

  • Click EDIT to update details like the name, description, or code.

  • Click DELETE to remove the coupon from the system.


6. Monitor Coupon Usage

  • Regularly check the Coupons section in YBP to monitor:

    • Usage Count: How many times a coupon has been used.

    • Assigned Coupons: Which customers have received coupons.

  1. Use Clear Names and Descriptions: Make it easy to identify the purpose of each coupon.

  2. Track Usage: Monitor which coupons are most popular and adjust your strategy accordingly.

  3. Set Expiry Dates: If applicable, set expiration dates to encourage timely usage.

  4. Promote Coupons: Use email campaigns or notifications to inform customers about available coupons.
